How to extract a meta-code from a device with official bought map(s)


For a nav1, nav2 or nav3 device
Step 1
For a nav1, nav2 or nav3 device you can directly use TTActivator from master131.
Of course you must have a Lifetime maps or World maps subscription or officially bought a map.
Step 2
Download and activate the new map(s) on your device on the internal memory or the SDCard.
Step3
Then activate TTActivator.exe and let it read the drive of your device (internal or SDCard)
Go to tools in TTActivator and run option "Create Meta from Installed Content"
For nav1 and nav2 you than get direct the meta(s) you search for in a .txt file.
For nav3 device you get an extra screen where you choose the map and the map-version of which you want to extract the meta. Again choose “Extract Meta Code” and you get the meta-code in a .txt file.

For a nav4, nav5 or nav6 device
Step 1
For a nav4, nav5 or nav6 device you must have a device with an SDCard slot. On these device you cannot process maps on the internal memory.
Of course you must have a Lifetime maps or World maps subscription or officially bought a map.
Step 2
Download and activate the new map(s) on your device on the SDCard.
Step3
Put a random TTGO.bif file from an old nav1 or nav2 device in a empty folder on your computer.
In the TTGO.bif file, you replace the "DeviceSerialNumber" with the serial of your new device.
Usually found at Info (or something like that) on the new device.
Use the complete serial number with all digits.
LOOK OUT, if you enter the wrong serial number you can get faulty meta-codes!!!!!
Step4

Within this folder, create a folder for each map you want to download.
With R-Link-Explorer (see attached “R-Link_Explorer_1-4-1-2.rar” file) read the SDCard and copy in the map folder the xxxxxx.pna file, xxxxxx.meta file and xxxxxx.meta.dct file of the map that you downloaded and activated.

Step5
Then activate TTActivator.exe and let it read the folder where all your downloaded map(s) are in.
Go to tools in TTActivator and run option "create Meta from installed content"
When it is finished, you get a .txt file with all meta-codes from you downloaded maps.
