Step-by-step instructions
To reset your TomTom device, do the following:
1.Check that the battery is charged properly.
Charge your device for at least 2 hours before trying to turn it on again.
2.Reset your device.
Press and hold the On/Off button until you hear the drum sounds and the device restarts. This can take 30 seconds or more.

1.Check that the battery is charged properly.
Charge your device for at least 2 hours before trying to turn it on again. Make sure the charging light on your device is on.
2.Remove the SD card
If your device uses an SD card, remove it.
3.Reset your device.
Use a straightened paper clip, or something similar, to push the reset button for at least 20 seconds. See the pictures below for where to find the reset button.
4.Turn your device on.
Press the On/off button for at least 5 seconds.
5.Insert the SD card
If your device uses an SD card, insert the SD card.

1.Remove the Mount from the device by pressing the release button on the Mount.
2.Pull the back cover off the device by holding either side of the cover and pushing the device through the centre of the cover.
3.Use a straightened paper clip, or something similar, to push the reset button for at least 20 seconds. The reset button is on the bottom of your device.

Mazda Navigation System NB1 (LIVE)
To reset your device, switch off the car engine and then remove the memory card. Re-insert the memory card, wait 30 seconds and switch the car engine on again.
Sony XNV Navigation Module
To reset your navigation module, first remove it from the cradle by pressing the release button. Then press the reset button on the back of the navigation module for at least 20 seconds. Push the navigation module back into the cradle.
