A webfleet device doesnt work with a tomtom account. You need a code to switch to another user account. Only the peson that has acces to the owner account can change that.

the speech is that in tomtom pro, tomtom webflet makes a registration and creates an account where the tomtom is registered
so if you bought the new tomtom then there is no need to put this account
if you bought the used tomtom then only the real owner can help you
or contact via chat or email ot elefona at tomtom so she gives you assistance, but if the tomtom is stolen or bought used you can't do anything!
also on this tomtom (Pro 8XXX series) there is still no patch, but there is no way to make changes

Maybe then it's worth opening it and just soldering out the memory, ordering a new one in China and soldering it back, I don't think this is a disposable device, suddenly the person who set the password just quit his job, and now throw out all the devices? There are workarounds to restore to factory settings.
