TomTom for truck won't work anymore..
Managed to install everything with '9.702.go_work-CAB-navcore-GO-WORK' and 'Europe_TRUCK_1050_10209' but it won't work anymore.
Strange but my tomtom go530 won't start anymore. Like I was charging with a power bank and it's just blank screen.
Then I left over night to discharge and with a fresh start I managed to hear drums and see tomtom 'truck logo'. Then after that nothing happened, again blank screen. Can't even reset.
What could be the issue and how to fix this if any ideas?edzha90 Reviewed by edzha90 on . TomTom for truck won't work anymore.. I would like to suggest to clean the whole device, run clearflash and start once more with installing from the beginning
By the way, you write about a CAB file, most likely it's an original navcore, did you patch it too ?

That would be possible if I could start the device and it would allow me to connect to the PC.
So I had to buy the second hand device to get working. I found GO720
Can I use '9.702.go_work-CAB-navcore-GO-WORK' and 'Europe_TRUCK_1050_10209' with this device?
I did patch navcore, maps, speed cameras etc. using fastactive 'from June' and when I try to switch to truck map above it says 'problem with map' you cann use this map on this device: Europe_TRUCK-102475
I even checked if it's compatible.. which it is..

Your GO 530 is equipped with an SD slot ?
Why not connecting your SD card with your computer ?
The GO 720 is even better than your GO 530
But when you're doing something wrong, you'll have the same problem.
Clear your SD card and start from the biginning

GO530 has SD slot, I will try to look at it later, since I need at least one device working for the work.
okay I did as you said. I hard reset sd card.
Perhaps my navcore I downloaded from other place isn't the best. Here on this forum a lot of different .702 navcores.. as well, a bit confusing..
Could you please share exact navcore I should use for GO 720 ? I am thinking to use 'Europe_TRUCK_1050_10209' since there is no meta for the newest map...
I also tried to look for the newest fastactive here by using search, but nothing came up..Last edited by edzha90; 30th September 2020 at 08:01 PM.

Follow more or less the next 7 easy steps
7 simple steps to update your device with the latest map
To update your device with the latest map, follow these simple steps:
1) VERY IMPORTANT: Connect your device or SD card to your computer via USB. Using Windows Explorer, open your TomTom drive and backup the complete contents of your TomTom.
2) Check your navcore version. You can do this either on the device menu under Version Info, or you can check the navcore version in TomTom Home when the device is connected to your computer, or by opening the ttgo.bif file with notepad.
Try to find Navcore (Your choice) , which work on most devices, it's always possible to install another
3) Check which map is compatible with your navcore using the latest compatibility, found on most forums
4) Get the map which fits you best and which also fits on your device
Delete the old map folder
5) Extract the map using WinRaR or similar.
Copy across the new map folder into the root of the device.
Make sure when you open the map folder it only contains the map files, not another folder within a folder.
6) Download the latest version of FastActivate from the FastActivate thread:
Extract the file and copy across FastActivate.exe to the TomTom drive (the root of the device).
7) Run FastActivate.exe from the TomTom drive, clicking on the first 3 options in order, waiting for each to complete:
Update meta, patch maps, patch navcore.
There is another more than excellent tool, TTactivator, did you give it a try already ?

I did those steps. I have updated tomtom maps and navcores successfully in the past.
Never had this error. Tried 4x times from fresh start to install truck map...
Can you see newest fastactive on this forum? ok found this one from google:Last edited by edzha90; 30th September 2020 at 09:27 PM.
