Re: Under 2Gb Truck map
Dave,
I have tried to put this on my GO700 and it boots up then fades out to grey screen and no matter how long I leave it for it does nothing. I have tried running fastactivate but because it has never booted it has no TTGO.bif file. Any ideas what is up?

Re: Under 2Gb Truck map
yes, it was fully charged before I deleted the GO700 software off it. I have managed some progress on this by formatting the tom tom and reinstalling it. It works but it is very very slow now. I have deleted some of the .bmp files that aren't needed (the ones ending in w - these are the widescreen versions) I have also added some height, weight and width POI as well as gatso & mobile camera files. I am still well under the 2GB and it seems ok, just slow to respond to screen presses and overall sluggish.
I am doing this for my uncle as I have a TT One XL with a 4GB memory card that has Truck on it, I assumed that mine was slow because its on a memory card and not in the main memory.
Thanks for your hard work and help.

Re: Under 2Gb Truck map
You don't actually need any height/width/weight etc poi's as these are already incorporated in the truck map

Re: Under 2Gb Truck map
Once you know it is working on your 700 go to the info screen and see what RAM is available. I would backup your files then completely wipe the tomtom drive. Make sure you reinstall using the Truck Navcore for 32Mb devices and proceed as before without masses of POIs (height limits, etc. which are irrelevant as Dave said). Go to the info screen and see how much RAM is now free and if it runs faster.
I don't think you will ever get great results from an x00 model however.

Has anyone else found it hard to squeeze the 915 and 920 custom Truck map & NC on to a 2 Gb SD card?
I've tried reformatting but some cards seem to have less space than others. 910 is the latest map I can be sure of getting on with a little space left for pois
