USA Map is too large
I read the "A dummies guide to patching NAV3 using TTActivator" thread and I was able to successfully download and activate a map of Mexico. The problem is that I am not in Mexico. My unit has 3.2 GB of free space with everything deleted that I can delete. The unit does not have a microSD card slot. The USA map requires 3.5 GB to install. The zone maps will download, but there is no way to activate them. Any ideas?

Delete the speech files, if you don't use them
P.S.
Using the next tool reduce for example United_States_1125_12200 from 3.761.803.806 to 2.493.859.057 bytes when only deleted the cspeech files
United_States_1125_12204 from 6.216.261.255.to 4.927.635.244 bytes when deleted all possibilities.
United_States_1125_12273 from 5.658.475.406 to 4.460.583.356 bytes
Give it a chanceLast edited by pe1agp; 4th March 2024 at 12:55 PM. Reason: Added some examples and tool

From the description of the operation, I understood that my friend has a NAV3 device without an SD card, so cutting a map to NAV2 is probably not for him. Soldering the memory probably results only from sentiment towards the device. As a third option, I'm considering ads and buying something with SD. The nav3 device can be purchased for less than $10. You can also jokingly say that you need to move to another part of the world
But there is one more solution. I dug out the bottom of the drawer of a TomTom with a North American license and I see that there are smaller maps, just say what part of the USA you want.
southern USA and Mexico 2046MB
United States Zone 3162MB
western USA and Canada 1713MB
eastern USA and Canada 2766MB
northern USA and Canada 1662MB

I think we ar talking about a nav2 device with 4 Gb internal memory and no SD slot.
So, the United_States_1125_12200 would be the perfect solution.
@ username89118, could you tell us what you device is?
With the first 2 digits of the serial number we know enough.
PeterCollection; NAV2: GO 300 (M1); ONE XL (L1); GO XXL (GQ); GO XL (RS); GO 910 (V7); GO 950 LIVE (W1)
NAV3: GO 820 LIVE (FU) NAV5: GO 5200 (ZB)

The problem was that the United States map did not fit in the available memory.
There are only 3 United States map meta codes available.
19 25 9F 27 20 8A 7C 60 BE E9 FF 5F 4E 3B 77 EA United_States-104043.meta ; United_States 1125_12200
39 21 D4 88 68 E8 E0 06 23 4B 0C 78 3D C0 00 66 United_States-104047.meta ; 1125_12204
41 50 A6 9B F4 D6 CA 09 0F BD 48 C7 4F 3B 28 85 United_States-104096.meta ; United_States 1125_12273
What then is the problem of deleting those files that you are not going to use so that one of the available maps fits in the memory.
Finally, the question was how to use it.
The simplest option is of course to purchase a device with an SD slot, which can accommodate more or less the entire world.
But if the intention is to continue working with the existing equipment and you want to use the United States map, then there is simply
no other option than to use those parts of that map that are minimally needed.
Whether it is nav 1 or nav100, the fact remains that there are only 3 metas available. (Unfortunately).
Unfortunately it cannot be made more beautiful

Dear Dave, By removing my post from this thread, you left the thread unresolved. I am not sure if the user will find a solution to his problem.

That's why I'm leaving it open for others to propose a solution as apart from having to go way back to very old maps like your suggested v1050 from May-20 or at lease possibly back to v1110 from May-23 which was the last version we had ALL metas for there's no resolution yet
