Problem with fast activate premium
I reinstalled windows on my pc since then I cant open fast activate to patch my tthome programme. Fast activate appears to open then shut down instantly. I have tried disabling antivirus and firewall but still no joy. Any ideas what to do?? Thanks

Hi,
Make sure you are using administrator status in windows when trying to open the application. Hope this is of some use, if not I am sure some of the brilliant TomTom experts on this great site will help you out.

Cheers Mando I am an administrator and I have tried right clicking it and open as administrator but it still wont work!

You could use Easytools or BBStools instead

This is a common problem when you have anti spyware and virus software running. Here is my suggestion if you cannot disable those: Download Fastactivate to your pc folder. Keep it as a RAR file. Connect your tomtom/sd card to pc. Extract Fastactivate direct to your tomtom/sd card root folder using WinRAR. Open tomtom/sd card root folder in Windows Explorer. You should be able to see the red Fastactivate icon now. Double click and follow instructions.
If you still have problems, de-activate antivirus AND spyware software for the duration of the procedure.

PS If you now have Mcafee with the new windows install, good luck in getting rid of it!
