Delete PoI (French speedcams etc)
Another useful tool for you poor people in France/Switzerland (and Germany now?) etc who aren't allowed to use your GPS for speedcam warnings

It makes you wonder how tomtom will stand up in court to defend their own (presumably illegal) official speedcams though doesn't it?

Thanks a lot for this one biggerdave but I would like to change the bmp file for a more discreet one (which I did but the size is not good) and is it also possible to change the name which appears right under the icon (DelPoi and Backup) ?
My TT is an XL1 with the SE navcore 9.061.
Thanks for the help.

You can resize the bmp to whatever
You can rename (I would suggest everything) that starts "DelPoi" like the .bmp & .cmp in sdkregistry, the .sh in opt/bin folder, the .txt on opt/etc folder and ditto with the 3 "backup" files (.bmp, .cap, .sh) in the opt/tmp folder
No harm done as you can always delete everything & reload if it doesn't work (or utilise your full Windows backup)
PS sorry, I edited YOUR post instead of replying

And if you keep your map on an sd card (I have standalone France minus speedcams on the internal and Europe on an SD with the speedcams) so it is probably even quicker to just slip the SD out as and when deemed expedient to do so. That way, no files removed, altered or whatever and Mr Flic none the wiser?

I've used the icon and name from TT Home's "Dangerous narrow roads". Seemed a good idea atvthe time.
