Let's stop discussing the different bootloaders here as they don't affect anything regarding this latest (also irrelevant but TTHome-forced) upgrade to the navcore

Dumb question, of the three in the first post, what one would I copy over to my Go720 thats prepatched? Its been AGES since I messed with navcores really and for some reason I am lost all over again. Or maybe what is the best way to just download from tomtom and then patch?

Official NC 9.541 from TT for your Go 720 is here:
Patch it with the usual FastActivate option 3...or Alternative-FastActivate

That is a very good question, the more I test the more I get the idea that Noevcore 9.541 is not the best choice.
In any case, it is certainly not a good combination Europe_1025_9386 and Navcore 9.541, as far as UK & IR and the United States 2GB map is concerned, it works well, possibly with other maps too.
For now I have decided to stop the experiment with Nvcore 9.541 immediately and return to the familiar 9.510, I will see what will happen after 6 April, probably the same as with the millennium bug

@pe1agp: There is a small trick how to run maps larger than 2GB on 910 with a SD card and NC above 9. Otherwise, the unit will be in a loop of infinite reboots. I am surprised you were able to run Europe (cca. 3GB) maps on your unit so far.

This last test was with my GO 950 and mine GO 910 i no longer a GO 910 due to the SD slot which I've buildin already more than 2 years ago
No problem to store 32GB on maps as I want to do that.
