NAV5 device bought 2nd hand ... will the updates continue to work ?
hello all,
all is in the title
I have searched, but didnt find the answer (maybe it's obvious ...).
It seems the devices like GO 520 Wifi need a TT account, so, I could imagine that only the 1st buyer gets lifetime updates ... but I prefer to ask !
also, "lifetime", I assume its about 10 years, but not really infinite ?
thanks

You make a TomTom account.
Then open MyDriveConnect with that account and try to add your 2nd hand TomTom to your account.
If it works you will have your lifetime updates from that moment.
TomTom makes the decision when the lifetime updates of your type device will stop. That is when they think your device is getting too old and you should buy a new one. Almost all nav1 and nav2 devices are made End Of Life (EOL) now. But don’t fear, we have some excellent patchtools on our forum so you can still use EOL devices with new maps.
I have a Go 5200 WiFi and I still have lifetime updates.
