start 60 no longer starts
been having trouble getting 1082 maps to work.
so i decided to start afresh ,format sd card start again.
i initially formatted sd card in windows
created magic sd card with sd card in pc
made a full backup ,no problem as per instructions
but when checking if sd card had 4 partitions .windows only saw one
tried to use upload to upload map ,no joy obviously
i put tomtom into recovery then run create magic sdcard again in hope of 4 partitions this time
but screen will light up but no tomtom or text or anything .cannot go into recovery anymore
mdc or tomtom home don't recognise it anymore
got full backup ,but at a loss how to go about backing it up
any ideas greatly appreciated.

no ,i think i have a new paper weight .
if you can get onto recovery . providing you made full back up. you should be able to restore using nav4free .
i cannot get into recovery or anything.
if you don't have image backup .its worth trying a backup of another tomtom.it will not get tomtom working. but might get it to a state where tomtom drive will correct problem
nothing to lose . i may be wrong ,in which case other posters will correct me.
good luck
