Nav 4 TomTom Start 52 battery
Hello, I have a small question: my NAV4 Tomtom battery seems "a little" dead. I keep it 2-3 hours on a in-house charger and after powering it up it keeps 3 seconds and says battery empty so I think its dead. I has 5 years though, so I its past its life cycle. The question I have is about the compatibility of the batteries. I opened up mine and has a VF6F 920mAh 3.7V battery. On ebay I found only VF6S or VF6D batteries. Will they work if they have same connector and voltage but different capacity?

The capacity of the battery ("mAh") will determine the duration of the battery in reference to the consumption of the device, that can be flexible, what must be exact is the operating voltage ("V"), the connector, position of the cables and the physical size of the battery.
The latter can be modified, if not more remedy.

Hi, I managed to change the battery but after putting all together and trying to start the gps, it didn't power up. I put the old battery back and still the same problem. Did I kill it? Is it any possibility to revive it ?
EDIT: Found out that the bms on the original battery tripped, i don't know how to reset it. And the bms on the replacement battery got ripped off because the battery is 0.5mm bigger than the original one. Should i try to solder the bms back on the replacement or should I just buy a new battery?Last edited by lockeagle; 10th December 2021 at 02:48 PM.
