Menu change emulation Nav4Free
We already know that we can change emulation by modifying an MSTMS patch file using filezilla but this, besides being cumbersome, carries some danger for less advanced users.
To make this task easier, the MSTMS team has implemented a new menu in the "Nav4Free" tool.
You can download the new version in the nav4 patch manual or from this link:
How are you going to use this emulation switch system?
We connect our device to a usb port of the pc.
The device must be patched beforehand, that is, you will have carried out the actions shown in points 1,2,3,4 of the "Nav4Free" tool menu.
To change the emulations we select option 7 from the menu.
A new menu opens with this arrangement:
1) Ori emulated ........................... = Will leave the original "patchit" of the MSTMS patch on the device.
2) Truck emulated ....................... = Install the truck emulation on the device
3) Camper emulated .......... ......... = Installs the camper emulation on the device
4) Return to the previous menu ..... = Returns us to the previous menu (the general one).
How can we know if our gps has one or another emulation?
With the Camper or Truck map installed, it doesn't matter if you install one or the other because they are twins, your device ...
With original emulation it will show this vehicle selection menu:
Also showing the truck, bicycle and pedestrian options .
With the Camper emulation it will show this vehicle selection menu:
- Car with caravan
- Motorhome (heavy)
- Motorhome (light)
- Car
This menu does not display bicycle and pedestrian as the original emulation menu does.
With the Truck emulation it will show this vehicle selection menu:
As we can see, the truck menu contains four options:
- Truck
- Bus
- Van
- Car
This menu does not display bicycle and pedestrian as the original emulation menu does.
It is not 100% proven that the map with truck attributes (truck or camper map) works in original emulation, although there are some colleagues who say that it does work, anyway, by installing a truck or camper map on a non-native device In these options, the selection menu will only give the options:
- Truck
- Bus
- Van
- Car
- Bike
- Pedestrian
He would never give us the Camper options.
Remember that the Truck and Camper map in nav4 and nav5 are twins, it is the same map with different names.
Remember that thanks to Simba we can insert the pdi of the camper nav3 map in the nav4 / nav5 maps.
Thank the team MSTMS of gpsurl all the development that are having these issues. Thank all the colleagues who are helping with their tests to improve options.Orni Reviewed by Orni on . there is a problem with the nav 4 patch, already described
after resetting the device to factory settings after patching, the device hangs and you need to restore the original version
-

When you restore manufacture, Navcore installed 18 ?? Loylo
The patch is for Navcore 20, that could be the motive of hangs .
If your NavCore is less than 20 updated

original map 1075.11084
There is a vehicle selection icon, but no choice in the truck map

Does that happen in other devices or only in Rider 400? It is possible that Rider does load the Truck map but not the attributes, weight, measurements, etc ... with FileZilla check patchit.sh and check that it is for Truck.
