accidentally installed wrong start25 package to start60
Hi,
Accidentally, I installed a original (non modified) start25 (0084) ttpkg to a start 60.
The result was the Start60 is starting up but gives an error message which says:
"Unable to load page
problem occured while loading file:///usr/share/webkit/content/device/index_800x480.html"
I tried to recover it using recovery bootloader(Press on-off for 15 seconds, keep pressing until a console window appears, press 3x power-on/off button) recovery window appearst,
Tomtom my drive is then used to "recover" the device, but it either does not do anything, or the recovery has not helped out.
In either modes(error mode or recovery mode) TTActivator for NAV3 is unable to find it to enable me to re-install or patch the navcore.
any help is really appreciatedttlover Reviewed by ttlover on . accidentally installed wrong start25 package to start60 Hi, Accidentally, I installed a original (non modified) start25 (0084) ttpkg to a start 60. Disconnect your gps from the cable.
Reset to the drums
Let it try to turn on.
When the ignition is no longer advanced, press the power off button until you see the black screen with the letters.
Tap your power off button three times: one, two, three. It has to be three touches.
The device turns off, and back on again on this screen:
Often shows this:
Now you connect your cable to the gps and the pc.
Start the My drive connect program
If you don't get the first image, you may be giving more touches than necessary, or you are giving them too quickly.Last edited by Orni; 21st June 2020 at 05:16 PM.

This is an issue with MDC. From some testing I've done it only properly recovers devices which have the "Lausanne" motherboard model. For others, it simply reboots the device and does no recovery.
I have attached a modified version of the original ttpkg uploader to upload ttpkg specifically in recovery mode. Please drag and drop the correct navcore *.ttpkg onto the upload_ttpkg_recovery.bat file with your device in recovery mode when this screen appears (do not launch MyDrive Connect):
I was supposed to add upload support for recovery mode to TTActivator but forgot about it.

You are a star!!!!, Thank you very much. TT Drive recovery indeed did not " recover anything. This saved the Start 60.

This post, is meant for PND's which cannot be restored by MyDrive's recovery tool, it tries to restore but nothing seems to happen after process finishes:
Thanks to the JAVA application shared by master131, here are the steps to revive a START60 which was flashed with a wrong NAVCORE:
the steps:
- Close MyDrive
- Place the PND in Recovery-mode (press on/off for at least 10-15 seconds, you will hear drums, the Tomtom will start and after that the screen will show as follows (Thanks Orni):
- next Press on/off button on the PND 3x as quick as you can
- the following image will appear on Tomtom
- After that the screen will turn as follows:
- now make sure MyDrive is closed(kill it if needed)
the following screen should appear:
- From this point, use Master131's (posted at post number 3), unpack it,
now find a suitable navcore (for me the following navcore worked for the Start60 00000000-0094-0012-0750-030659802300_system-update.ttpkg)
- drag and drop it on the .bat file supplied by master131's tool and all the recovery should begin.
wait for process to finish, and the PND will become alive again.
