Having issues trying to install maps onto the 32gb SD card that is formatted in my TomTom device

I followed the NAV3 TTActivator and R-Link Explorer tutorial to try and install another map to the SD card and whilst it installs to the SD card, when I pop it into my TomTom device it states empty SD card. Also, in TTActivator whilst the memory card is recognised in the Device Storage Unit any maps that I’ve copied over using R-Link Explorer are not displayed in the Installed Content section. In the device no other maps are selectable.

If I upload a map to my TomTom Go Live device to the internal memory this works fine and is activated.

Hi, I've tried both. I'll see if I can find a 16gb card and give that a go.

The TTActivator application supports up to 16 GB. To see the map inside your memory card, first insert the card into the device it will be used with, confirm the formatting of the card, and when the card is ready to use information screen appears, confirm the process, close the menu, remove the memory card from the device and insert the memory card into the computer. Before starting the R-Link software, if you have any running Tomtom MyDrive Connect, Tomtom Home and computer virus protection, close it and open it when you are done. When the R-Link application starts, the screen page that opens will look like a two-leaf notebook. In the window on the left side of the screen, double-click on the memory card you will load the map from among the disks connected to the computer. Hold the TOMTOM.000 line at the top of the page that opens with the mouse and drop it from the left side into the page on the right side of the screen. The name of the file you drop there will automatically be (exe.000). When you open it, open the one with (common) on the page that will appear. When you open it with (installed), drag and drop the map you want to install to the page with (USR) or if there is an installed map, you can see the map there.
