Map not on SD card after instalation with R link explorer
Hi everyone,
I have 4 or 5 sd cards, all 8gb and after transfer with R link explorer map is not on the card when put in device.
I have windows 11 on two computers, have tried a full format of the card on the pc before formatting on device.
I believe there may be a bug with windows 11 but how do you get round it?
Thanks for any help.mikeclarke Reviewed by mikeclarke on . I have a similar problem. Via 1535 , Windows 7 computer
I tried to put a new map on a micro SD card and when I place the card in the device, the device report an empty card and the files are erased.
I have done this before and it worked. This is a new card. Could it be a bad card?
I can format it and work it with R Link. No problem is reported during the process.
I tried several different maps thinking the map had a problem, but no result so far.
Any advice ?

I finally was able to install the map on the SD card.
I am not sure if this is the cure, but here is what I did.
R-Link and also my device was formating the card with 7 files (tomtom.000, etc) of 2 Gb each ( card is 16 Gb). I was trying to install a 4 Gb map on the card.
I redimensionned the tomtom.000 file to 5 Gb using R-Link and reinstalled the map on it.
To redimension, I had to use some of the accessory programs included with R-Link, following the instructions given by R-Link when trying to redimension.
Bingo!
