Remove patched maps from start 25.
Tried using a start 25 with patched truck maps. Patched UK map installed as well. Have now bought a different model to use so want to turn the start 25 back to its original state.
Have used TT activator to remove maps and patch. Start 25 says no maps installed on screen however TT activator shows over 1gb of used space and my drive
says no updates. I am thinking a UK map is still on the device which is why mydrive is not offering an update. Any ideas wouuld be gratefuully received.

Try to install the same version of the map, which you had initially and then delete it using TTActivator! How did your TomTom Start 25 work in truck mode? I mean routing and more.

Thanks will try that. It worked well initially then after some hours of use it ran very slowly. This could be resolved by a reset but doing multidrop hgv work
you get a bit tired of doing that. Tried nav2 nav3 and camper maps with similar results. Routing fine, arrival time spot on.Last edited by mikeclarke; 29th July 2020 at 03:27 AM.

Did the method I suggested work?

Hi there. No sorry. TT activator seems to think there is over 1 GB of something on the device, my drive offers no undates now and device says no maps on screen. I have got hold of a cheap start 60 with lifetime USA MAPS. Going to put truck map on it with an sd card, leaving usa map on device well alone. Only playing with nav 3 stuff because of the traffic problem on nav 2 with truck navcore where closed roads stay closed forever.

It is possible that some of the internal memory is being consumed by POI's (Points of Interest) files and or SPEED CAMERA files.
TTActivator allows you to remove SPEED CAMERA files, but to date, does not deal with POI files.
You can try and remove the SPEED CAMERA files with TTActivator and look at the reported memory size to see if that is the cause.
Access to the POI files is via MyDrive Connect which will allow 'adding' and 'removing'

Thanks for the info. The problem is not the available memory but trying to turn it back to a lifetime device supported by my drive for resale. If you uninstall the patch
my drive offers no updates regardless of the map or no map on the device. I just had a hunch that there is a new uk map stored somewhere on the device hence not being offered it.
Its only a cheap sat nav but not loosing my drive updates could be handy.

it seems that due to some circumstances the map has been deleted but not the file content that controls the content of the tomtom,
with tomtom connected copy and paste one of these addresses into the internet browser bar,
is to add community content, see what free space is left in tomtom,
ó
Compare if that free space matches what is left in MyDrive connect.
Something you can do, under your responsibility, is to reset the tomtom, turn off turn on and hold the power button to the black screen, once on the black screen release and 3 click in a row on the power button to reset then connect MyDrive connect.
regards

Hello. Thanks very much everyone for the help and advice. Connecting the Start 25 to TomTom activator, my drive and the two IP addresses all come up with the same result. Somehow there's more than a gigabyte used with no maps on the device. At the moment I'm not going to spend any more time on it. As I need a working truck unit for work. I will convert the start 60 I bought and see how that performs as a truck unit. I will report back.

You have the TomTom Start version with Nav3, I hope, because there is also a version with Nav4 (TomTom Start 60 - 2013). First update it with My Drive Connect and after that patch it and put the map on the SD card! If you are a truck driver, it would be interesting, to share your new experience with that TomTom Start 60 patched and the truck map. Good luck!
