I can't get R-link explorer installed in Windows 11. MS C++ 2010 is installed
Is there someone with a solution?

Maybe it works with "Install as Admin" or Right Click and "Install in Compability Modus" with Windows 10 or 7 ? Good Luck

@Xius27
There question is not how to download but how to run/use program in Windows 11.
Please read carefully the first post.
In the first post are available the links to downloqd the program (installer and portable).
Why should provide a different download link for portable version?
Why should to provide a link for a version that is older then version in first post?
In your version are mssing some language files.
We should discuss the file posted in first post and not other version (expeccialòy when are older then first post).

I don't know how, but the version of Xius26 (post #26) works and all the rest doesn't work.
Also not with the suggestions of Proukeat in post #27
I changed the 'TTFS.dll' in the working version with a new modded version and it still works.
thank you all for the suggestions
Peter
Update:
It looks like by windows 11 the files "msvcp100.dll", "msvcr100.dll" and maybe too "msvcp110.dll" must be in the installation map. Then all versions I found work.

Bovirus, I have put that link because some .dll are included that I thought would be missing in win 11.
And as Peter comments in his post, the version I've left has worked for him...
Well, not?

This is an old thread, I hope it still get read.
I installed R-Link explorer 1.4.1
I have a Via 1535M (via 125) NAV3 with a 16 gb card. The unit is fonctionning well and read the map on the card.
The card is US_Canada_Mexico.
I placed the card in a card reader.(USB stick card reader)
Windows 7 can read the card and list the files tomtom.000 to tomtom.007, but is unable to open these files.
R-Link does not see the card and list nothing. The bottom status line shows 0 drive. Rs-Link does show the computer side files. Windows 10 same thing.
Any idea what to do from there?
I am reluctant to format the card as the Unit is working fine now. Map is 1085 and I want to install 1100. Unit is not patched yet.
Thanks
EDIT: Found my own answer from another site: softpedia.com/get/Maps-GPS/R-Link-Explorer.shtml
Did not realized I needed to drag the drive/file from the left side.
Once the storage card is inserted into the computer, users can start exploring its contents by selecting it from the “Local Browser” section on the left side of the application’s dual-pane layout. Here, one can pick which proprietary TomTom files to drag and drop to the “Virtual devices browser” for adding, removing, or copying files over to the target PC for backup purposes.Last edited by lambeal; 10th February 2023 at 04:38 AM.
