I tend to agree with Garmin_Navi...there's probably not so many alternative routes available
I've never been to NZ but I used to live in AU and there's not a lot of need for one there so I can't imagine it'd be of a lot of use in NZ either...in the city maybe?

Well I only know TomTom Live too, such as thelater GO900 Live and more recentlyGO5100 and %"00. Regarding traffic in UK Traffic is spot on, in Germany it was and in Romania. Mostly in Bucharest and outer areas. My mate has a Garmin (no idea of the model but suspect old. And my car has Audi Nav in it (which is crap btw). We set off at same time from west south Buc to Afumati which is 18km from Buc north east. He is a taxi driver. Me, just a long distance driver. He arrived over 40 mins after I had arrived and he did not stop. I actually bought some food on the way. So intuition and Garmin, does not necessarliy work better
Becides TT uses Vodafone cell locations, so in a busy area, it is great and any tail ups on small roads are notified. it has not failed me yet. I have no plans to rely on my car Nav in the Audi or the Vauxhall. Maps look great, but route planning and corrections happen after event in front, not before so planning to avoid is spot on and miss the jab ahead, usually in time. Then hear a TC from radio saying there is a crash. bit too late. With TT, you know before and have avoided it alreadyOne day, someone might make things work perfectly before release. Sadly not in my or your lifetime. At least by finding problems and sorting them, we are still alive.

I've seen a few micro usb RDS antenna being sold on ebay which are a lot cheaper than the active dock with built in receiver option. Does anyone know if there is a specific one I would need for a Go940 or Go950?

Good night comrades. I revive this post to comment on my experience with a GO 730 and an RDS-TMC v3 antenna.
The experience here in Spain is that the TMC system was never given the importance it deserved. The antenna is fast and fluid, it picks up coverage quickly, but the traffic information is not very reliable in real time, due to the carelessness of the Spanish institutions.
I hope this experience can be useful to a colleague.
All the best.
