Am I going crazy? Why are there no meta codes for arm9-mnt
I am having an incredibly frustrating time trying to update the map on my TomTom ONE running nav1. I can't find a meta code for a california map at all and no one seems to know anything about it. Where are the meta codes?

First of all, I think this is the wrong section for your question.
You better repeat it in TomTom Discussions. (good call, now moved)
Secondly, please give us some more details about your device.
What are the first 2 digits of the serial number (mostly at the bottom of the device) and on what navcore is it now running.
I think I can help you. I have a One myself.
If you upgrade to navcore 9.541 you can use maps till nav3.

Sorry for sounding aggressive. I’m new to the whole gps thing and navigating these forums has been really difficult.
It is on version 8.014 after updating. I’m not sure what the serial number is so I’ll just put a bunch of numbers I see on the bottom here:
C_NO: PB***
(4EE0.001.00)
Tomtom one N14644
Canada 310
The limitations with my device are that: a) it does not have an SD card slot. B) it has 1gb of storage.Last edited by biggerdave; 3rd July 2024 at 10:57 PM. Reason: mod serial number

The map you are looking for, is "US_South_West_1130_12314"
It has a size of 855 Mb that can be reduced to a size of 550 Mb for the use on a nav2 device and it has a meta-code.
The navcore must be 9.541 (as I already said).
If you have questions, let me know here or by a PM.

How do I upgrade the navcore version? I tried tomtom’s software but it wont go past my current version.
Also, how do you reduce the file size?

First step must be; maak a complete backup (with windows, not TTHome) from your device.
You can always go back if the new navcore and map does not work.
I will send you a PM with a link to download the new navcore.
Delete everything from your device.
Unpack the downloaded rar file with the new navcore on your TomTom
Then use TTActivator to download the new map to your computer.
TTAcivator you can find here:
From the map delete all files like “appoints…dat”, “arp….dat” and the file cphonmlh.dat. Those files are only necessary for nav3 devices.
Then copy the result to your TomTom and activate the map with TTActivator.
That should do the trick.

Sorry I forgot the English voices.
Here the are. Copy them in the map voices.
I you want try the computer voices, first try if one of the Dutch ones works on your device.
If so, I will search for correct English computer voices

Thanks! I’ll try when I get home. As for TTactivator, I’ve messed around a little bit with it in the past and when I’m selecting the map version I want it doesn’t show the map number. It’s just a section for “1130” and then a drop down menu with version (arm9 etc) and another drop down with a bunch of names i.e. US 1gb etc. How do I know if I’m getting the correct map?
In summation, the map you recommended to me has 5 digits at the end but those aren’t visible in TTA.

Actually, I was able to find the correct map file!
my One was having a problem where the time was resetting itself to 12am so I followed a youtube tutorial to fix it.
It works fabulously now on the update. Thanks for the help!Last edited by tomicalover; 4th July 2024 at 09:52 AM.
