Tomtom Go 1005 LIVE [Sn: ST...]
Searching my old boxes for TomToms with licenses other than "known meta", I found GO 1005 LIVE. This is probably the strangest tomtom I've ever had. I need some tips.
1. I don't have a cable for it. The device has a 20 pin connector. So I unscrewed it and, analyzing the electronics and improvising a bit, I know that pin 1 and pin 2 are +5v power supply. Pin 3 and pin4 are USB, but I don't know which one is D- and which one is D+. The first time I connected it, I received an installation error message, so I connected it the other way around and it installed. Pin 20 is GND, but due to the thickness of the tracks, it is not the power supply, but the GND of some input. The main GND is the screen. I found two more input pins - through small capacitors - and two output pins - through chokes. I don't know what these exits/inputs are. Maybe a speaker, a microphone...
I started TomTom, but if someone has the pinout, it would be great
2. After opening it, it turned out that there was a SIM card inside. I put it in my phone - it's inactive. So I inserted an active SIM card into the navigation and the LIVE services came to life, but for 14 days. Payment must be made later. I won't use this navigation because I have a better one, but out of curiosity I'm asking if anyone has found a way to bypass the LIVE subscription?
3. By the way, I would like to ask whether nav3 devices have a unique ID? and if so, can it be read? Logically, since the maps are compatible with NAV2, the method of activation should be similar, so they should have such a number.
I would like to inform the administrators that there has been a problem with searching on this forum for several days (connection to localhost:9312 failed (errno=111, msg=Connection refused)). I don't know if it was ok before, because I wasn't looking for anything.rarokor Reviewed by rarokor on .
