MapShare reporting. Don't hold your breath!
Apparently TT are cutting appx 500 personnel from their Maps unit (which equates to 10% of their total global headcount!) and will be relying on Artificial Intelligence
By my reckoning that just leave the tea-lady and the office cleaner in that department. I know AI is clever but do they really believe this cr4p will impress their stockholders?
They already admit it can take many MONTHS to check/verify & then incorporate reported map changes so how can AI help?biggerdave Reviewed by biggerdave on . MapShare reporting. All errors caused by artificial intelligence will affect the users of the maps. Pity. In a few months we will probably have a display of a huge amount of mapping errors from TT.

If we all drove AI controlled cars then we could just sit back & let the AI satnav worry about things! Can you imagine that? At my age the answer is NO, I bloody well can't!

I hope this is not a first step to a total different map structure/setup.
In that case many of our tools must be changed.

It just might possibly be TT waking up, smelling the coffee and realising just how easy it is (for our experts) to crack all their maps etc for free; but then again, why wait so long? Nah, coincidence I reckon
