Rider 400
Hi - newbie here...
I've a Rider 400 which got trashed using MyDrive crap s/w. It goes into recovery mode with the red cross and downloads their files, but won't write to the device. It's connected as I can ping the 169.254.255.1 device ip.
As I understand it I can't bypass their app to fix it, is that correct? Also I've no clue about the Navcore version in any case.
Tomtom support hasn't been much help so is there any way I can fix this?
Thanks.Stup52 Reviewed by Stup52 on . Rider 400 Hi - newbie here... I've a Rider 400 which got trashed using MyDrive crap s/w. They suggested it was a download problem, pointed me to all the scripted answers. I get the downloads no problem but they're not being written to the device.

My advice:
You change pc, try to perform the steps with MDC on another pc.
You change usb cables, use a good quality cable, with a transfer speed of 480 mb/s or higher.
You connect your Rider device to the rear usb ports of your pc, if your pc is desktop.
If this does not work insist on Tomtom Sat indicating that his program has destroyed your device, there are precedents from colleagues who have been repaired.

Yes, did all that more than once but still no luck.
Firewall, AV, VPN all off too.
I was following what was going on with MDC via Process Monitor and there was no attempt to read from the cache but it kept looking in folders in C: drive for ...\mime\packages in more than one place but these folders don't exist. I even created the folders and copied the cache there just to see if something would work, but no.
Thanks for your help anyway.
