Battery of Go950 in poor condition.
I have a Go950 device, which I acquired many years ago that is no longer for sale. The problem is that its internal battery has been deteriorating to the point that it already lasts very little. For example, being 100% charged with the green LED, the battery lasts at most 10 minutes, so it is necessary to replace it. It is not able to keep the load minimally, for use without cable.
Where could I get a new battery? Can you get a used one that works well?
Is it possible to change the battery? Is it difficult to do it?
Thanks in advance.otin Reviewed by otin on . Battery of Go950 in poor condition. I have a Go950 device, which I acquired many years ago that is no longer for sale. There is another way, if it in NiCd or NiMh battery in your unit. This will depend on age. You may not even need to replave the battery, but it depends which type of battery being used.
For NiCd, which is the one know to have a life and memory, that can be sorted, withough a battery change, NiMh is a bit harder as less battery memory. That too cam be rejuvinated. LitIon, it near impossible, as it is down to hardwhere on the board
For the older batteries, there is a solution. Un plug from charging, and keep trying to stary with no pover. get a few secs mame, but do until nothing
do not attempt to charge until you get nothing
then, connect charger and do not turn on for 24 hours, if it tries to open, close screen, and leave to charge overnight. The try and you should be ok
No 100% sure will be ok, but that is best way. failing that, you can get a replacement battery and replace it yourself. many videos available, or better still, get a new unit
I have done this with many with success, so I know it works, but I do charge, and really a replacement unit is better. I have not done many recently as the cost og units is less, and benefits higher anyway.
Also, the cost of batteris has increased and NiCd batteries are no longer allowedLast edited by the Maverick; 1st February 2020 at 12:49 AM.
One day, someone might make things work perfectly before release. Sadly not in my or your lifetime. At least by finding problems and sorting them, we are still alive.

I have no idea what kind of battery my Go950 uses, but I'm pretty sure it's not Li-Ion.
The question is: is there a compatible Li-Ion battery that I can replace the one I have now faulty?
If the answer is yes: would the same cable and charging system work?
That way I would avoid having problems with the battery again, forever.

I do not know true, because I have not opened the device, but I understand that if the first original battery has been damaged it is because it was not Li-ion.
I'm wrong?
