You could start with this link
But also tell us some details of your device.
What are the first 2 digit of the serial number on the the bottom of your XL?
Does it have a sdcard slot? Can you make contact with the device from your computer?
What navcore is it using (see Ttgo.bif file)?
Maybe than we can help you further
regards

Hi Peter,
Device ID starts with RC**********
No sdcard slot
Yes, i have access to the device,i started clean after format.
Boatloader S5.5128, copied Navcore_9.541_TZ ,then copied Benelux_1040_9800 and used fastactivate, which was ok

Tried clear flash 3 times, no result.
I found the navcore online after the wnro, yes is patched.
Do i have to try another unpatched NC for a "fresh" start? What can you recommand?
edit: found the nc on gpspower.net.Last edited by Dheagol; 27th January 2020 at 06:16 PM.

You can try to empty the memory of the device (except the Benelux-map) and make contact with TomTomhome.
Often TomTomHome offers a new navcore than. Sometimes have to repeate it more times because TTHome offers a very old navcore (7.x) first.
Than you repeat asking for updates till you get a 9.x navcore.
If this is succesfull, you have to patch the navcore youself because it is than a official one.
By the way I prefer above Fastactivate.
Otherwise you can search in for a alternative navcore (those are patched)
