You have a conflict with the installation of TTHome and the files that remained on your computer in "C: \ Program Files (x86) \ TomTom HOME 2" and / or with the files that remained in "C: \ Users \ Your name \ AppData \ Local \ TomTom \ HOME "and / or" C: \ Users \ Your name \ AppData \ Roaming \ TomTom ".
Before continuing to update Carminat, you must clean all the files recently installed by TTHome using the Windows uninstaller or the one of your preference.
Be sure to check and delete any keys that may have remained in the registry.
PLEASE NOTE, if you do not sufficiently master the navigation in the registry, I advise you not to touch it.
After this cleaning operation, resume from the beginning of post # 17, there is no reason why you should not.
Edit: Install the TTHome version of post # 17 well and block it as indicated in the same post if you don't want to be bored.
Then you can uninstall it to replace it with the latest versions, which are 2.20.xLast edited by jpgblue; 7th February 2020 at 09:42 PM.

Sorry, I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong. I get the same error as before. I made sure to delete all TomTom related files and folders, deleted the TomTom keys in the registry etc. and it says the same thing.
"Edit: Install the TTHome version of post # 17 well and block it as indicated in the same post if you don't want to be bored." - Do you mean that I must block the connection of TomTomHome?

Yes, for and during the installation of TTHome version 2_11_9_702
Of course, before you disconnect from the internet, you download the TTHome app.
After disconnection (offline), you install TTh and you modify the * .ini file, so you will let TT believe that you are in version 2.20.x and it does not offer you a TTh update.
Reconnect to the internet and launch TTHome, if it recognizes your SD card with only the loopdir folder that you will have loaded from the car, it will offer you an update provided that you have modified the " loopback.ex3 " file in the folder loopdir as shown in post # 17.
Follow the information given by TTHome and Carminat to the letter.
After the update on the car, reconnect to TTHome, if it offers you a new update, done there following the same procedure as before.
When you are done with the setting (s) with TTh, delete all the folders and files on the SD card, except, of course, the loopdir folder and the ttgo.bif file that you will have created from the file " loopback.ex3 " from the last update with Carminat.
Download the file named "Megane III-8843_Africa_for test.rar" that I have prepared for you here:
Copy all folders and files to your SD card, activate the PNDnavigator / ttsystem and the Africa map with the tool of your preference, it should work.

Hi, how can I patch a TomTom Carminat 8843, if the navcore is in the internal navigation memory (PNDNavigator and ttsystem are not on the SD card)?

Thanks, Orni! I had everything ready on my SD card, including ttgo.bif. TTActivator activated my map and everything seemed fine, but navigation does not accept my map. I used the files from the original SD card, and it lacked ttsystem and PNDNavigator. I copied these files to the SD card (I had them on my computer). I patched the navcore and everything worked fine in the end.
