Any help for a french man with an old TomTom One New Edition [V2] please?
Hello!
I am french and my mother have an old TomTom One New Edition (V2) affected by the WNRO problem...
Actually, I've got the original SD card (256 MB) and here are specs of the TomTom (original map):
I tried to install Navcore v9.541 SE found on a well known other forum on this old TomTom One New edition (4N00.004) on a new 2GB SD card formatted in FAT 32.... but I've got a problem with the old French map sold with the GPS...impossible to have it working with the new Navcore v9.541 SE....
Do you know which France map would be compatible with this old TomTom please? I downloaded France_1040_9849 but the TomTom says that's not useable on this GPS...
It's been 2 days that I'm looking for a solution to redo this old GPS and I really need your help
Many thanks for your answer,
Regards from France :-)

In the first place you need a bootloader update till at least 5.5022 to be able to use SDHC cards up til 32GB
I'm afraid the 9.541 will slow down the One extremely, better to start first with 9.510 for 32mb devices
Depending on which GPS chip is in use, I don't have the right information yet, it must be possible to flash the chip
or you need to update manually the ephem folder with the satellite positions before you or your mother are going to use the device.
Once equipped with the correct bootloader and SDHC card, you can start using any map
P.S.
Mind you mailbox, please.

Thanks pe1agp for your answer.
I think I don't need any bootloader update since I'm not usine a SDHC. My 2GB SD is not a SDHC one
This GPS is equipped with SirfStar 3 chip...

If you have only a 2 GB memory card, you do not need a BL update, but you need a gps chip update (GSW3.2.5) for the Sirf Star III. You can find it here:
And @pe1agp is right, a NC 9,541 (also no SE-version) is not ideal for 32 MB devices, a SE 9.510 would be better.
To late ...

I used TTactivator 1.7 to download a new France 1040.9800 map and I'm using Navcore v9.541 SE right now...
You're right, this version of navcore v9.541 SE slows down this little GPS.... but it works !
Do you really think that updating the Sirf Star 3 chipset will fix the WNRO problem encountered on this TT One V2?
