GPS-Chip SIRF-III upgrade from Version: GSW3.2.4TT3 to Version: GSW3.2.5TT3
GPS-Chip SIRF-III upgrade from version: GSW3.2.4TT3 to version: GSW3.2.5TT3 or GSW3.6.0
the GPS firmware GSW3.6.0 generally (but not always) finds approx. 2 satellites more than the GPS firmware GSW3.2.5,
but the GPS firmware GSW3.2.5 is usually a bit faster with the Satfix than the GPS firmware GSW3.6.0
If you want your GPS to always sync as quickly as possible, choose version 3.2.5,
if you prefer to wait a little longer but get most of the satellites, get version 3.6.0
for TT GO 510, GO 520, Go 630, GO 710, Go 720, GO 730, GO 715, Go 920, GO 930
ONE (v2), ONE 2nd Edition (V3), GO 7000 Truck
Rider 1+2
this is "standby problem" fixed now (again satellite fix from standby in seconds).

for this Navi should run the GPS-Chip_SIRF-III upgrade GSW3.2.5TT3, most are tested
Since 28 September 2019, there is no size limit for the SD card (2GB) ,
but a suitable bootloader must then be installed.
For the fixed devices with a different bootloader version such as: version 8.xxxx ,
never, not even once try to carry out the upgrade described here !!!
The upgrade will not be written to the correct location in the Navi, and this will render the device unusable.
We also have no way of reversing the flash process.
the renewed upgrade has the name: One For All-Universal-Upgrade GSW3.x.x GPS-Chip_SIRF-III
with video
on these sat navs (TT GO 710 and TT ONE v2) I have the upgrade self-made,
with the old firmware (GSW 3.2.4TT3) 5-7 satellites found,
with the new firmware (GSW 3.2.5TT3) 10-12 satellites, but
that could also be daily dependent
on GO 710;
at intervals of 10 min.
(in the time, old exchanged for new firmware)
on the GOx20 and GOx30 in this forum also achieved very good results,
in how far it works on other devices, I can not say.
to flash an SD card up to max. 2GB use
the output NC for flashing comes from navcore_6.52.7690.go-rider-one,
The firmware GSW3.2.5TT3 comes from the NC 10.855.2319141_ECR9.9-CAB-Fuji
from the Mazda NB1 and is the last (10 / 04/2013) Firmware for Tomtom GPS Chip Sirf 3
GSP_Chip Sirf_III, and only for this
Attention of the flash process must not be interrupted under any circumstances because the Navi else can be wrecked
(which is like the PC, the BIOS upgrade)
NOTE.
To do the upgrade;
The Navcore used by the upgrade is outdated. You must therefore use an SD card with a capacity between 256 MB and 2 GB .
Also, the internal memory of the TT-Navi must be within this range, so for devices such as the GO920, which comes standard with 4GB, the following
applies : You must use an external SD card.
Please note that the procedure deletes files and folders after the upgrade. So, if you still want to upgrade to another device, you must resubmit the files from the update folder.
Quick start Guide.
Assuming that your sat nav does not have an SD slot, the internal memory will be treated like the SD card.
1-Take a blank SD card and connect it to your PC.
2-copy the upgrade files from your model's folder to the SD root (or internal root directory).
3-Disconnect the SD card from the PC and remove the hardware safely.
4-Replace the SD on the TT, turn it on and wait for the upgrade, on average it takes a few minutes, even less.
4-Insert your SD card with the Navcore back into the device you normally use.
GSW3.2.5TT3-CRC32_3.3.01.06-C34P3.00
and as always: upgrade at your own risk

Ok, call me stupid or blind, but I can't see any files nor links for 3.2.5 firmware, both here and on the other forum (digital). What am I missing?

Hello jungblume2005.
I have a partner who tried to put the firmware Flash_FW_3.2.5 to a One new edition (E2), the GPS has gone black.
Is there a possibility to load other firmware?
Can modifying the firmware version by a higher number load this latest firmware?
Could it be done by editing the file "sirfimg.ver" by placing the number 3.2.6?
Thank you for your work
P.D.: The new firmware "Universal-Upgrade GSW3.2.5 ..." comes with the "Bootloader 5.5285" what is it for? Should we put it before or after loading the firmware?Last edited by Orni; 29th September 2019 at 02:59 PM.

@Orny: Only if you want use a SD/microSD bigger than 2GB. If your device already has a 5.5120 or 5.5279 (e.g. x20/30/7000) or 5.5128/5.5136 (e.g. ONE 2nd), you can ignore the BL 5.5285 in the upgrade package.
For a device with internal memory only, the BL does not need to be touched either.
Try again with a clean install of the package, FW_3.2.6 isn't recommended! Please read the part "ACHTUNG" in the link of @jungblume2005 to the german forum (Hints to SE or DSA Navcores).Last edited by Alfred_ML; 30th September 2019 at 07:00 PM.
