Tomtom Go 720 with no Bluetooth connection.
Hi folks
I have a Tomtom Go 720 and all is working ok apart from getting a phone connected to Bluetooth. The message "No Phones Found" appears when I try to connect a phone. The Tomtom has Nav 9.510 and UK Maps. Is this a problem with something missing from the data on the Tomtom or is it something wrong with the connections in the Tomtom.
I've hunted for some help and any help or advice would be appreciated.livvy Reviewed by livvy on . Tomtom Go 720 with no Bluetooth connection. There could be a file with the next text "BT Off"
I don't remember the right name
I'll search my system.
P.S.
Search for the folder Config, where you'll find the txt file setconfig.txt containing
btonLast edited by pe1agp; 5th September 2019 at 05:16 PM.

Hi. Thanks for your reply. Tomtom didn't have a Config file but added one as in your attachment. Still not picking up a Phone with Bluetooth. I have both BT Off and BT On in Setconfig file is this correct. Your help is appreciated.

Do you have the files from the "phone connection settings" folder installed on your SD card or your internal memory?
connect2internet.db
connect2internet.so
connect2internetdb.ver
They are necessary to establish a connection with your phone, they must be installed at the root of your SD card or your internal memory or both.
Either you make an update via TThome, or you download the .cab file on the TT server by following this link:
If they are installed, delete them and update.

Thanks, added usesetting and deleted btoff just leaving bton but again still no bluetooth connection to my phone.
I did read the Explanation about switch files but hoped that the Config solution would be the answer as it wasn't in the data.

Is there another connection possible, a headset for example ?
Just to be sure your bluetooth is OK.

That’s what I’m thinking that there is something not right with the actual Tomtom and not the codes within the data but I’m not sure what this would involve.
There is only a Traffic RDS-TMC connection which I assume needs WiFi and an Audio out connection which would involve sending the sound to an external unit.
