Newest maps for TomTom EASE?
Model 1EX00 aka "EASE". Has a United_States_2GB folder taking up 1.2 gig of the 1.84 gig internal memory. TomTom Home says the maps take up 1246 MB and are version 845.2645 What's the latest US map that will fit on this GPS?
It's a cute little thing, got it for free, used TT Home to update the software, which included the date rollover fix and a small mapshare update.Galane Reviewed by Galane on . What version of Excel was used to make that? Is it supposed to have download links or what?

There are no download links, it's a document used to figure out which map is best for you in terms of coverage and map size. You can find links for the latest maps here:
As mentioned earlier, before downloading maps, ensure the "meta code" exists - this is required to activate the maps. Current meta codes are compiled here in one post:
You best option is United_States_1030_9562 - it is about 1.5GB and includes IQRoutes, Advanced Lane Guidance and Text-To-Speech. It requires navcore/software version 9.x or above - I believe 9.541 is the latest for the EASE model which should be fine.
You can use the various software/tools to activate the downloaded map - I recommend Activator_2019 or TTActivator:

Thank you very much.
How about Torrents?
I've tried several times but Filecrypt drops the connection *every time* and doesn't support resuming. Openload supports files over 1 gig and free download speeds well over 100K/sec, and I've no problem downloading on a 4 megabit connection.Last edited by Galane; 18th June 2019 at 03:39 PM.

Try using Orni's post from that Map Collection thread which is hosted on ZippyShare (2nd last post).
Alternatively you can also use the map downloader feature in TTActivator:
Plug in your navigation device and run TTActivator. The configuration you need in TTActivator is as follows:
Map Kind/Generation: high-level-u-no-asr
Map Version: 1030
Map Region/Country: United_States
Backup and delete the old map first from the EASE so there's enough space, and hit "Download to Device". Once the download has fully completed, click "Refresh" (important!) and then click on "Installed Content" and "Activate" - the map should be ready to go. Also make sure to go to "Tools" and "Patch Navcore" if you haven't patched your navcore yet.Last edited by master131; 19th June 2019 at 05:05 AM.

Yes! New maps! I deleted all the non-English voices, the Mac and Windows setup stub programs for TT Home, the annoying trashes and spotlight folders contact with a Macintosh pukes onto all storage devices, and a few other bits and bobs I could identify as not required. Seems rather similar to WinCE based GPS devices. 197 megabytes free.
I'd like to lose all other non-English language and keyboard files. Which are those?
The Safety cam download and install of TTActivator claims it's successfully downloaded and activated, but it doesn't activate on this device. Missing meta and blowfish.

There's another US safety camera that will work, try the "Manual Install" option and extract the "Safety_Cam_US_Canada_TomTom.ov2" file from the radars.zip file into the map folder for the United_States map. Then "Refresh" in TTActivator and click Activate on the Installed Content tab.
I'll have to fix that in the next TTActivator update.
As for the language files, not sure - they might be embedded in the software so you can't remove them.Last edited by master131; 19th June 2019 at 01:16 PM.
