I complete agree with pe1agp. Very well done.
I would like to do the same with an ONE XXL, but don't know how to start. Especialy the removing of the old memory.

But thats to professional for me. I don't have those machines.
I did find some other movies and pictures where the remove it with a paint heatblower.
But thats too risky for me.

But quite a nice video to see how it works a little.
Said before, not for everyone
Indeed with a paint burner it should also work, but given the dimensions of most print layouts, you could easily replace 3 or maybe even 4 chips at the same time

I don’t need a chip, because I know how to solder a sdcard adaptor in place of the old flashmemory. I have the instructions for that.

Why not? If you are (or you - indeed are) common with your memory chip specification - the only difficulties are to find right pins on board. And some skills on soldering... I really have no doubt you already have perfect skills here!
