@ Chacamaca
Any navcore works with the corresponding correction WNRO >> ALL
From now on, what matters is knowing the chip (sirfIII NO PROBLEM... onli 9.702 posible needed suicide)
You can copy the ephem folder of a one (if it is sir III) in a 720 because both use sirfIII of the 720 you can copy it in a 730 and 730 to 920 or a 520 ... they have in common Sirf III
Do not be confused, suicide is used in the sirfIII with the navcore truck feet at the end of the forecast of the position of the satellites ephem / (packidermis ... ahahah) do not take satellites
On the other hand other users with sirf III without navcore truck comment that they have no problems
The map has absolutely nothing to do with all this
The reception time depends on the time and position and if the start is cold or hot now try another navcore 9540 and you will see that it is the same and if it is hot it may take half the time, but this does not add anything.

@vulliw
The company created 9541 to save wnro on devices not eol
9541 icorporated bin / glgps for global chip locate 2
You must check the chip of your device by looking at the black screen
Probably Sirf III
If so, you should simply update quickfix in tthome
Read the thread patiently and see possible alternatives

OK vulliw
Global Locate= Global Locate 1
I have a One with GL
you only need "treysis pack for GL1"
you will not have problems with the time
if you are updating quicfik with TTHome (lto.dat) you are already doing well, but do not stop reading

TomTom released an update for the Rider 2013/K4. Seems like they added a routine inside PNDNavigator to calculate the correct date. That means, the NMEA date in /var/run/gpspipe will still be the wrong one. Hence, 3rd party tools like MiniLog will log this wrong date. Therefor I decided to stick with my workaround and stay on the old version. Haven't evaluated if satfix is faster or not, though.
Did some testing now. Satfix seems faster, and position seems to be more accurate, for whatever reason (since they didn't change the firmware of the GPS chip, the data from the chip hasn't changed. But maybe some correction when calculating your placement on the map has been updated as well). Fortunately, new PNDNavigator seems to check whether the date is reasonable or not. That means, you can use my patch and the new update together: you'll get better placement on the map, fast satfix, and 3rd party tools continue to work as expected.
It's not a perfectly clean solution, but if we don't notice while we use it, that is what matters after all!Last edited by treysis; 17th July 2019 at 10:17 PM.
