I don't want to discourage all your continuous efforts in resolving the 2 problems with WRNO; the weak & regular loss of satellites and the time reset issue but are we anywhere near having (hopefully, simple and definitive) fixes/SE navcores etc for all/each group of devices effected using mostly the regular & official navcores wherever possible (obviously apart from the Truck 9.702 etc).
I appreciate there may be some alternative methods like copying over the glgps etc but if we (you experts) could come up with a clear/clean/easy-to-follow fix/download/SE navcore etc for each that would be extremely useful.
We could then create a new thread either in the Tutorials & FAQ section or the Open Tools & Tweaks section although not decided where this would/should go yet.
A big thanks for ALL your efforts to those who have contributed to this very interesting thread, it does seem that we are getting close to a definitive fix/tweak for all/each effected device/navcore/chipset so keep working.

Hey @biggerdave, time reset issue is already fixed. That only affected AR1520, GL1 & GL2. AR1520 & GL1 are "fixed" by my workaround, GL2 with the "glgps" from TomTom. Some people have started packing them into the older NCs, because many of the older devices seem to run slow on the newest 9.541 and it is not available for Truck NC.
What remains is the standby issue (no fix after standby) of SiRFstarIII devices.
Then, there are so many devices and so many different NC variants out there (DSA, SE, vanilla, truck) with so many different versions...and the devices are quite old. I don't think it is feasible to produce a One4All solution.
Also, we're still in the process. There's no use putting effort into finalizing some NCs while issues are still at hand. At least I won't allocate my resources towards this. I also have some ideas for leaner/cleaner integration of my fixes (integrate them into ttsystem), though it might confuse people. But of course whoever wants to start building new NCs right away, there's nobody holding him or her back.

I prepared "NC??a" versions of NCs for car and bike navigation which only needed to be extracted on a clean sdcard. They already include all known WNRO-fixes inside ttsystem and/or in prepared folder on sdcard.
Give it a try ;-)Last edited by BMWdriver; 7th June 2019 at 12:32 AM.

Never mind .
I knew it already, because I use it successfully for several years on a GO 9000 and many GO 920, 930, 940 and 950 :-). This is one of the reasons why I chose it after meticulously testing 6 different versions.Last edited by Charlie62; 7th June 2019 at 12:46 AM.

@biggerdave, @treysis, @BMWdriver, @Alfred_ML, @stuntdouble, etc.
I think it would be interesting to contact TonyZeta (Italian forum GbcNet) which is the author of most navcores SE or DSA that we all use for years. He perfectly masters the files "ttsystem", PNDNavigator ", etc.Last edited by Charlie62; 7th June 2019 at 01:11 AM.

Take a device with SiRF3, put 9.541, exchange PNDNavigator with the one from Truck.

On a GO 720 (SiRFStarIII) I replaced the PNDNavigator of my usual 9.541 SE with that of my 9.702 SE/DSA. The menus are completely modified and very strange, and when you press an icon, you access an option totally different from that corresponding to the icon :-)!
