TomTom offer via email an update for your system
PAY ATTENTION ! !
I have just been offered an email update for my TomTom One XL starting with the serial number L1
A number of files are offered, including a Bootloader 5.2901 with an arrow to LinuxVersion = 1734
I first downloaded those files separately on a nearly empty SDHC except the ttgo.bif, after that download I see that the ttgo.bif has disappeared, with the possible install.bif in its place
After adding those files to Navcore 9.510 for 32mb devices, the situation is now that my One does start, nothing is loading, there is no line at the bottom, but remains stuck in the home screen.
May be continued, I have to leave now.
This is what they send to me on the nearly empty SDCH card.

I continue local time 15:15 H and since I started my One XL about 2 hours ago, it is still with the home screen on my desk.
In principle, that is not possible with such an old battery, so there must be something special going on.
First let's see if I can go back to a normal start.
To be continued.

Navcore 9,510 restored and as expected everything worked again.
Then piece by piece the parts offered this morning started to be added.
That went well up to the folder program, but when adding the data.chk file it went completely wrong, exactly the same as mentioned above.
To be continued.

I have no idea what TomTom is aiming for with this update.
Back to the old situation see above including the result.
Then the Bootloader of the update offered this morning gave as expected no SD cards larger than 1GB, even 2GB was not possible.
Also the map map not found
Patching gave no solution, Bootloader upgrade to 5.5128 was also not a success, still no map found ..
It became even stranger when I had that update carried out again about an hour ago,
I got the same number of files to process but all except for the icon another size.
I am still trying to find out why patching does not work, but for those who got also this offer by email, ensure a full backup first
Final:
Another experience richer, yesterday's update was counter productive.
For that reason, 9.541.3145439.2 installed from Tony Zeta.
This works well on this old One XL for now.
Also added VocalizerTTS, which is also an advantagepe1agp Reviewed by pe1agp on . TomTom offer via email an update for your system PAY ATTENTION ! ! I admire your tenacity !!
I have 3 TT GO 700's with different OS's, just waiting to see what happens tomorrow.... my guess is they will all continue to work as normal !! After which all three will go back to OS 9.051 as, IMHO, thats the one that works best on this device ..

@Entwood
Thanks for the compliment, it just keep me from the street.
I wrote just to another English friend, only professional equipment will have some trouble due to they use also the date.
Since TomTom's are using only the time, only your journey will take 15.005 seconds longer
City Navigator Europe NT 2025.10...
I would get a 32GB SD card they are only a few...
