patched map cannot be selected / does not show TomTom one
its an oldy, but its the only one my father can handle
A TomTom one, 7.903, does not show map Canada Alaska (234 Mb, Canada-Alaska_1010_8949) when I ask the device to change maps.
According to the compatibility matrix this map should work on this device / nacvore...
The map has been patched, as well as the navcore. The other map on the SD card does show and can be selected.
Any ideas here ?
cheers,

Try removing the SD card (once switched off) then see if it boots correctly from the internal. These older units can't run between internal & SD card (Manage Maps/switch maps) as the newer devices can. If there's an SD card in when switched on it will run "just" from that, no SD card then "just" from internal memory

thx for the reply. When no SD card is inserted, the device has a "boot splash"indicating there needs to be a card inserted, and will not pass that scren until a card is inserted... just tried a 995 map, patched ok but cannot be selected / does not show.
I have done several of map updates on this device in the pas but never had such an issue ..
** edit **
no clue why, but on the 23rd attempt, updating the tomtom app through the TTHome software, and repatching the core, now I can select ... previously core had been patched already though ... ah well, as long as it works

Probably this TT One has no internal memory at all.
If you look in and sort it on "Navcore gen, Device name" you see all the TT One’s together.
Then you seen that most of the TT ONE devices only has a internal memory or a SD-card.
The following TT One devices has both;
PG = ONE IQ Routes with 512 MB and SD-card
PJ = ONE IQ Routes with 512 MB and SD-card
Z1 = ONE New Edition (v4) (Cork1024) with 1 GB and SD-card
Z2 = ONE New Edition (v4) (Cork512) 512 MB and SD-card
L1 = ONE XL with 1 GB and SD-card
L2 = ONE XL with 512 MB and SD-card
L4 = ONE XL TTS 1 GB (XL.S) with 1 GB and SD-card
L7 = ONE XL SII with 1 GB and SD-card
L8 = ONE XL with 512 MB and SD-card
L9 = ONE XLB with 1 GB and SD-card
F3 = ONE XL HD Traffic with 1 GB and SD-card
So what version do you have Nosy?
See the first 2 digits of the serial number of your device.
