TT GO910 Dismantle/repair desktop USB/mains charger
TT almost always discharges instead of charging when mounted on desktop connector/charger, regardless of being connected to PC or not.
When base unit not connected to PC the battery icon is shown. Wiggling the power lead in the base unit sometimes removes the battery icon and the GO then charges but, after a while, the battery icon reappears and discharging seems to happen. The green charging light on the 910 is always lit when the power lead is connected.
I have cleaned the 910 contacts on both the GO and charger but unable to find out to dismantle and check the power connections inside the charger unit.
Is there an easy solution, other than buying a recon charging from eBay?

You mean one of these?
I do know that many forget that the usb lead is only for data transfer & the power still needs to be fed into the power skt at the rear of the mount (but I'm sure you already know that?
Plan b) bring your screen mount indoors if you need to charge it indoors?

I have 3 ways to charge my Go 940, the car mount, the desktop cradle or one of these cables:
Personally I'd suggest buying of these so you can charge the device with a USB plug in a normal home wall socket without the need to have the PC on
