TomTom go 910 boot problems.
Hello,
I just have bought almost new TomTom go 910 with 20 gb hard drive. The device works fine but it has old navcore. I plugged device to my computer and copied all files to my PC just in case. First I tried to install navcore 9.530. After this upgrade TomTom freezes at boot. All I can see is boot up image. I pressed reset to get the control to my device again. After this first attempt I used another navcore SE 9.026.483454. But the result is the same, TomTom freezes at start up. Coud you please give me some advice how to fix this? Sorry for my English.
Thanks for your attention.

An almost new GO 910 which is from april 2006 ?
I may suppose that with the old software your GO 910 start without problems ?
I don't remember exactly which was mine Bootloader, but sure it wasn't 429
Already a long time ago I've removed the 20GB HHD and replaced it with an SD slot
Now I'm running all the latest maps with Navcore 9.510 for 64m devices and as Bootloader 5.5128
With some Bootloaders you'll have a very slow USB connection, some others are using Bootloader 5.5120 which must be one of the best, I didn't test it yet.
It's also not important for me due to it's quite easy to use mine SDHC card direct on the computer.
Be aware that when you want TTS, which I prefer, I don't know which language you need, but when you want them all the size is nearly 5gb

From original ttgo.bif:
If you still using 20GB HDD - no need to upgrade bootloader higher than 4.86
And from 4pda user -
- he used for years 9.151CCE version without probs. If you are interested in it - I can share...
PS Recently I ordered CF-to-SD adapter for my GO700, which uses 2.5GB CF-interfaced hdd. When it arrives, I'll try to use SD instead of slow hdd. Maybe your 910 also uses such type of hdd - then it'll have sense to change it with same combination - up to 32GB high-speed SD must speed up this device...

Just for in case, SD slots ar still available at
But when it's more or less a brand new device, I've use the 910 form the start at april 2006 till at least 2013
This slot will fit perfect in the alluminium frame, only you'l get the information it's an 710 now

So there is no need to downgrade from 55120 to 4.86?
