GO 950 chipset for QuickGPSFix?
Hey guys!
I have the Go 950 (not the 'live' version, mind you) and I am not sure which chipset this one has? The SIRFStar or the Global Locate? Any help is appreciated. Somehow the TTHome is not giving me this update but of course Fastactivate will do the trick.

Thank you very much for responding. Pardon my ignorance but the only way I know how to update quickgps is using TTHome or Fastactivate. Not sure how to use cbee.cbee file. Also, it appears that the 950 and 950 live have the same chipset? Meaning the Global Locate version in Fastactivate? Thanks in advance.

Forget FastActivate and other tools. You don't need to do anything. Only copy this file "cbee.cbee" into the folder "ephem". That's all, you don't have to do anything never again. The Go 950 will do the rest...nothing more to say about this...no more questions, no more answers...

Um, so I finally got around to doing this today. Turns out that the device has an 'ephem' folder already and has the following files in it:
1. cbee.cbee
2. ee_meta.tlv
3. ee_meta.txt
The content of the third text file is merely 'Expiry=1417401364'
Do I need to do anything at all or is the quickgpsfix already sorted for me? Thanks, friends. You're beautiful. Yes - you reading this! :-)
