Fiat 5" U Connect satnav
Has anyone managed to update the map on this built in satnav without paying £50 to tomtom.
It runs Application 11.815.2186150.17 and the latest map version is Europe 985.8201 Release date 1/2017
This is what the system info it displays on screen if you pay for an update.moggyminor1966 Reviewed by moggyminor1966 on . I doubt there's a way round that device because it runs on a newer navcore than our latest v9's and I guess works through MyDrive & not TTHome?

I would like to give another try... or perhaps it is not the same question...
I have a Fiat 500e (electric) imported from USA to Switzerland. The device has only USA maps.
Is it possible to load unlocked Western Europe, DACH or similar maps onto that device?
Is it possible to change the language to german?
In the about screen I see:
Uconnect 5 inc Radio Nav
Device TO2208NH005D / 5C30
App 11.815.2661403.107 (4710, 3/30/2017)
Map: 'USA_Canada_and_Mexico'
v965.7303, Release date: 1/2016
Language: English US
any help is appreciated

I am afraid that there is only one option.... buy a new map.
This device is not updatable with the tools we have here.
PeterCollection; NAV2: GO 300 (M1); ONE XL (L1); GO XXL (GQ); GO XL (RS); GO 910 (V7); GO 950 LIVE (W1)
NAV3: GO 820 LIVE (FU) NAV5: GO 5200 (ZB)

Hi kemat67
Yes, long time ago.. Sorry, I forgot to update the forum. But you must understand german. I found the solution here:
and here
It worked for me after the third attempt. Hence it is tricky.
I assume it is important, to eject the USB stick in the tomtom home screen with the blue button. You must NOT use the eject function of the windows operating system.
I used an old windows 10 installation. Don't know if it is still the same today.
Language in tomtom will remain english, spanish, french.
good luck!
