Initial very dodgy routing when using Live services/IQ routes
Hi,
I'm not sure where to post this one so I'm happy to have the thread moved.
I have a Mazda CX-5/NB1 which I've updated with the latest Android maps and it sort of works fine. However I do find the routing sometimes to be a bit dodgy (occasionally into a service road and out 200m later instead of staying on the main road) so I I've been trying with and without IQ routes and so on. Each time I switch on IQ routes, the first time (or two?) coming home it routes me as if there is a big traffic jam on my normal route and tries to deviate me. Some time later it says traffic has changed and a faster route has been found at which point it switched to my normal route. It does this from other starting points as well. It is as if it is remembering some traffic position from the maps I (ahem!) downloaded and I am wondering if there is a file I can delete or reset to clear its "traffic memory". If not, is there anything I can do?
TIA,

I'm pretty sure there is no file that holds "traffic memory" that I'm aware of so may just be a typical inconsistency with TT mapping & there Live stuff.
Only thing might be worth deleting is your mapsettings.cfg file perhaps but don't know it that would help?

Hi biggerdave,
Schwan has given me something else to try but I can't do it until I am next at work to mirror the problem journey. If that fails I'll give this a go.

Hi Schwan,
I'm back on this thread again since biggerdave has replied.
I have tried using your files over a 6746 installation and routing home from another place was terrible. It refused to accept that a relatively main road in Petersfield was a through road and kept on trying to divert me off it giving me a 12-15min journey home instead of a 3min journey. I'll keep your files for the moment as I'm not using the car much this week to test any more.

Nowhere on the card.
I cannot for the life of me remember the source of these maps. I've downloaded a couple of Android Maps with Android Apps and I've also had the 6558 map and I believe this one was from elsewhere (this site?) but I'll have to check my other PC's.
