On these older devices you need the new map folder AND the navcore/application from your original SD card (basically everything apart from any old map folders)

Hello everyone
Message to those who still use the old TomTom. I have one which is TomTom GO 300.
it is just to report that the SD Card capability at TomTom website misleading. I thought TomTom GO only takes SD original and old version hence was using SD standard 4 GB. (the card cost me a lot to buy as it was hard to come by).
just for the test sake 2 days ago i used Samsung SDHC Evo Pluse 32GB and it did work on GO 300.
in fact it works better than SD standard. the remaining Ram increased to 7.4 MB from 32 which it was a struggle on standard SD.
i have the Europe, USA, Canada, Mexico and UK single map installed on the 32 GB card now. it works fine with no lag and no issue.
hope this helps for old GO users.
cheers all

I have a very strong suspicion that a normal SD 4GB High Speed 150 will no longer be available for sale because I only see SDHC and other types when I go through Mr. Google search.
I once had to buy it at a high cost for a TomTom version via my HP iPaq 2210 or something similar.
If there is someone who cannot use anything other than such a normal SD card, I can make it available for free, but the shipping costs will possibly exceed the purchase price.
