Up to Go x50 is fine. Use a Go 950 Live that updates on TT Home. Truck shows traffic on mine and speed cams. Using nc9.510. Cheating a bit using SDXC 64GB card on computer for all maps i'm interested with. Its a lot faster than attaching actual GO unit and is a pseudo TT unit. Since i'm not bothered about axle limits, height or width restrictions etc, I am just updating the maps for archiving, but traffic definitely works with that map

The actual answer is those models sold as a Go with T at the end, were those sold with the Traffic Antenna that plugs into the unit and receives traffic information via radio stations that transmit Traffic information over FM RDS. An example in UK was Classic FM. The initial antennas were very poor, but TomTom brought out a few enhancements which worked better. The Live GO use infomation from other sources in addition such as cell positioning from vodafone users and is much more uptodate and accurate
Although TomTom do not state it, their GO Live units receive traffic updates in many countries. I have been rerouted in Bucharest and IQ Routes works very well. It also works very well on Android phones, however, remember on smartphones, you will incur roaming fees, not that that is particularly expensive if TT is only thing you use. Just be aware
Another thing you may or may not know, Google+ offer a free service which will inform you of delays to your normal commute. Does not reroute you like TomTom does, but it is also very handy
The reason I stick with TomTom is that they are very much at the forefront of routing technologies. The maps may suck, and support can be tedious at times, but they are very innovative. Since delays cost me money, whilst they are the best, I stick with them. I must have saved upwards of 100 times the cost of traffic alone. Indeed in September, a friend rang me to say, you in that traffic jam going into Bucharest to the motorway coz my husband with talk you through the small roads. I replied, no, I am on the motorway but thanks anyway. That jam was described as 1 hour 56 mins, and had I followed the route, would have lost me over 3 hours travelling time......so thank you TomTom
As a taxi driver, her husband has placed an order for quite a few units, though I am not getting them from my workplace
We know he will sell lots....
