GlobalLocate-QuickGPSFix
As I am due to be out of the country for the next 5 weeks I thought I would use GlobalLocate-QuickGPSFix to update my TT950
but upon trying it the information downloaded has a time stamp of 07 April 2103, 12:38:24. Does anyone know if this info is still updated?

I have just managed to find QuickGPSFix_v3.10 which contains updaters for 2 different web sites, QuickGPSFix-GM downloads uptodate and current settings while QuickGPSFix-TT seems to be 18 months out of date. Hope this info helps someone.

The real different between the two is the chipset in your device .
It can use only one of them , depends on version or manufacturer .
Normally ( regular use ) you dont need it , as it gains not much time .
When the device gets lost ( long time no use ) , you can also set it manually in device .

basflt,
Your explanation is not correct, QuickGPSFix_v3.10 get the quickfix data for both chipset's in ONE run. You can chooce WHERE you get this data, from the Tomtom site "QuickGPSFix-TT" or from the GLLTO/MIO site.
Yes, the date time if you got the quickfix data from the Tomtom site are wrong for years, but the the data in the files like OK. May be the reason is they come from a unix/linux server en have a diferent date/time format.

I never use Quick-fix , and i never had a problem !!!!!
Its a waste of time to install this ------ ( fill in on dotted line )
Better keep the device clean .
edit;
Dont know if you remember ;
Some years ago some jerk had put in the wrong data into this Quickfix-update .
Half the world gone nuts about this .
