pre programmed route
Is it possible for me to program and save mulitiple routes into my tomtom and pass it to a friend and for them to select that route and that sat nav will take them the route i have told it to.
ie: route 1: start point A, pick up at b,c,d and then go on to e.
route 2:start point A, pick up at b,c,d and then go on to e.
what i mean is these routes could be in different areas and i would want the person to be able to select route 2 for example and it will take him the way i want them to go.
i will want it to be able to select a route number and it will have everything programed for that route.kirk98725 Reviewed by kirk98725 on . pre programmed route Is it possible for me to program and save mulitiple routes into my tomtom and pass it to a friend and for them to select that route and that sat nav will take them the route i have told it to. ie: route 1: start point A, pick up at b,c,d and then go on to e. route 2:start point A, pick up at b,c,d and then go on to e. what i mean is these routes could be in different areas and i would want the person to be able to select route 2 for example and it will take him the way i want them Rating: 5

so with either of these will i be able to set up a route and then just ask for route 1 for example and it will know what route 1 is without me setting it all up each time..
Im looking to basically input upto 30 routes for a driver to follow and if i need him on say route 12 he can click route 12 and it will load straight up with the multi point route

thats correct
the routes have the extension .ITN , you share them with any Tomtom device
when you create such a route , you can set "point B " as an in "between stop"
the next points will also be an in between ( they also get a different icon )
the advantage of these in between stops is that the device automatically goes the the next point in the route without waiting for interference of the driver , as it is with normal stops

Ive had a go with Int editor and couldnt get on with it. so downloaded the mentioned Tyre. Ive managed to program up my route on that and got it on to the TomTom and it shows up fine.
I will test at the weekend and make any adjustments and let you know how i get on.
Many Thanks for the help

ive done the few tweaks to make sure stopping points were correct by using street view, i now got to sit down and program up the routes before going out and checking them all.
One thing i did notice was that as im using the Truck version it seems to take forever to find a route even though its programmed in. Solution is to put back to car setting.
I shall be running a big test on routing this week coming as im off to Austria for a skiing trip and ive been giving a route to follow which i have programmed up and will see how it goes. Still taking a good old A-Z incase it goes wrong.
