Carminat Tomtom
My son has just bought a 2010 Renault Scenic with a built in Carminat Tomtom with a SD card. I have removed the card to access it on my PC and the card only contains the map data. It has UK & ROI map version 840.2568. You can view the internal details on tomtom home by pressing Help. It is running application 8841.453398. It has offered me an update to 8842.
I see from the latest maps that it should be compatible with UK &ROI 925.5442 (currently no meta file available).
Does anyone have any knowledge of whether you can update the map in the usual way once a meta is available? Instead of having a .dct file in the map data it has a .mct file. Is this basically the same?
There appears to be no way you can modify the internal files.

@ moggyminor1966
Solution:
1-Updated SD Carminat TomTom via TTHome2
2-Patch the Navcore, Card, Radars
Here must be able to help you : In French, Sorry
Translation. See the advice(councils) of basflt here:
PS : The map UK_and_RoI_925_5442 can be replaced by Western_Europe_925_5442

Carminat 9.846_1165624_RC12.CAB-RC12
hello, after a while we return attempts with Carminat 9.846_1165624_RC12.CAB-RC12-Camiron so if we can use maps forum.
who want to try, there must be no problem but everyone is responsible to use these files at your own risk, I am not responsible for possible fayos.
very important before doing anything backup TTHome, besides security we will need later.
very important to follow the instructions without skipping any steps, especially preferable SD SDHC and extract the new type ttgo.bif as indicated or with yeboto tool,
User instructions are Alan111S tested successfully on a Mazda navcore 10.852.1472547_ECR9.6
Carminat very similar structure.
check if the last line of the new ttgo.bif appears; vim = numbers and letters
Carminat yeboto tool tools
download simba_9.846_1165624_RC12.CAB-RC12-Camiron
I have not think Carminat map is currently 930.5604, see the table in the maps section.
please comment results.
if those with a higher version of navcore and after having tried it, do not upload this version, please add. cab to download and would watch.
Greetings.

Hi Simba, I can post this on other forums?
Thank you very much for this great progress.
That we use it to the original cab?
Maybe put it in the sd for point 1, it is unclear if first put the sd empty or with the original cab.

Hello to everybody!
I tried to follow your instructions, even if I maybe did not understand some steps, and I would like to report what happened to see if someone can help me
First of all some details of my Tomtom Carminat version:
First of all I used a SDHC card with 4 gb as I had only that one. After having formatted it, I inserted the card into the TOTOM gps (my car is a Renault scenic Xmod). I got an error and then I took out the card. When I read its content on my PC, I saw a directory named loopdir where there was a file named loopback.ex3. Nothing else except this!. I extracted the content of the directory simba_9.846_1165624_RC12.CAB-Camiron-RC12 in my card and I double clicked on the file batch Carminattools.bat obtaining a file ttgo.bif in my card. At this stage I only inserted an European map (Europe 930.5604) where I had already created a dct file with TomTom_Easyusetools_17.07.2014 (siimilar than Fastactivated?). I included some POIs and then I tried to insert it again but without success. Anyone can help me?

Advice on installing maps on carminat tomtom
Hi All,
I have bought a 2014 megane which comes with uk and Ireland maps but I would like to install Europe on there. I have made a copy of the original sdcard and updated the navcore to 9.884 through TomTom Home. But when I put it into my car it says map is not supported although its the original files but just on a difference card.
If someone could point me in the right direction as theres so much stuff regarding carminat stuff, some say its not possible some say it is. So im confused as to whether just to leave it or keep trying.
thanks.
