Hi,
I just successfully patched and updated my Mazda NB1 with a new map. Living in Australia, I had two choices. The 8643 High Level map "with all features" and then a 8644 "low level" with much smaller download size.
I picked the 8643 assuming this would be "the best" map and include the most.
I've been using it a few days now and noticed that the GPS doesn't know a lot of local suburbs, finding the right place is more luck than straight forward and voice navigation became a hassle instead of useful. We're talking suburbs in a major city, not like out nowhere.
I am wondering now, was the 8643 map not the right choice? Is there an auszralia map version that has more details and "understands" local roads and suburbs better?
What's the real difference between high level and low level maps? Which to use? (I've seen the nice chart but I lack the experience to read the details I need there.)
Guidance is appreciated! Thank you!!

The High-Level Australia_1000_8643 is your only choice (not Low-Level or Carminat), if no code for the original NB1-Australia_1000_8681 exist. But you must make an "editing" of the High-Level-Australia_1000_8643 map-folder with some parts of a original Australia-NB1-map. Look in the NB1-patching-instructions from @Greatnloopy.
Info about the features of High- and Low-Level-Maps:
All maps with check marks who need a NC 9.0xx (and higher) are High-Level. Everything with check marks under NC 9.0xx is Low-Level. Carminat (1000_8644) is a special case, the most features of a High-Level map are included.

Maps Meta will arrive soon
TT maps for newer units currently being downloaded, so the new units will have the speed cams on already. An other units will need to copy the speed cams across the the maps and await until updated. Those who already have the maps and speedcams uplated live, will not need to bother. That only applies to licenced subscriptions
One day, someone might make things work perfectly before release. Sadly not in my or your lifetime. At least by finding problems and sorting them, we are still alive.

GO 730 Map authentication errors
Tomtom GO 730
Navcore 9.510
Fastactivate updated to latest version via interface.
Meta updated.
not usinf a ttgo, bif file (Australia works fine without)
Australia map 100050 installed and activated, works properly.
New maps downloaded (below) and copied to 730, Meta patched, when activated I get a .dct error
Maps (allegedly) have meta file included with the download:
USA South_West_8764map Fastactivate error: managed to get past the .dct error (that I got numerous times), the software reported that it was OK, but when I try to switch to the map, the GO says that "you cannot use this map on this device US_South_West-101485
USA South_West_8821 map Fastactivate error: US_South_West-10438.mets => .dct ERROR
What am I doing wrong?
I'm going on a road trip to California and Nevada, hence the map that I chose, if someone can suggest an alternate map to try, I'll give it a go.
Thanks for reading.

Note the latest announcement from TT themselves confirms the rumours we'd already heard about a secondary release
and I quote:- "In France on 1 July, the speed limits for two-lane roads will drop from 90 to 80 km / h. For this reason, TT will release an additional Europe map release (v10.11) with updated speed limits before the end of June."

That's a lot of additional releases if every collection that includes France gets re-issued !! Wish I'd known this BEFORE I downloaded Europe_West 1010 map !! Might as well wait 3 weeks and just do the re-issued one. TT could have saved a LOT of time and money by doing it all in one go !! Never mind .... perhaps I need the practise ..

TT has already prepared its maps with the permitted speed limit corrections.
They will only be published from 1 July ON CONDITION that the implementing decrees are signed by the Prime Minister and published in the official journal of the French Republic.
And in France, it can last a certain time...
Let us hope that he (the Prime Minister) makes me lie, anyway with or without delay, the decrees will be signed.

Roads at 80 km/h: Édouard Philippe signed the decree
400,000 kilometres of roads, among the most accident-prone, are concerned.
It's done! Édouard Philippe (Prime Minister) signed a decree on Friday 15 June officially reducing the speed limit on certain national and departmental roads, reports the daily Le Parisien. The measure will be published in the Official Journal Sunday and will apply from 1 July.
Watch carefully your dear foreign friends who will take the roads now limited to 80 km / h.

It will hit a lot of maps. France appears in Europe, Nortern Europe, Central Europe, Western Europe, The France Zones. There are quite a few in UK I have spotted wrong speed limits. Some are correct, many not. A few cut to 20mph on TT but not yet on signs. Protten some last Thurdays, and some yesterday on a different rout, but all are bus routes. The others have been mostly changed already. I was mostly in Bury yesterday and quite a few signs had changed since last there a few weeks ago. Who is paying for it EU? or National governments?
