    I have successfully installed North America Maps (unlocked) onto my Factory Garmin Honda GPS and all seems to be working fine so far .

    Hi,

    Same car here. Could you explain how you got the unlocked maps to work?

    I downloaded the latest files from the sticky thread (City Navigator North America NT 2025.10 FID 12328), renamed the gmapprom.img to gmapsupp.img, and added them to a FAT32 USB with my GarminDevice.xml on it. My USB looks like this:



    I plugged the USB into my car, but got an error: "The map update on the USB storage device is not compatible with the device."

    Do I have all the right files?

    Insert a blank 16GB USB that's formatted FAT32 and press update map and it should create the folder and XML file for use with Garmin Express. Garmin Express should get the latest free update available for your vehicle.

    Would be nice if Parrottheadca gave a clue on how to use unlocked map.
