Saving maps on PC
I have a brand-new RV 780 and when I use Garmin Express to install the included maps on the PC, the folder always remains empty.

And if you use MapSource or BaseCamp is North America in the list
C:\ProgramData\Garmin\Maps
Unless you are a "New" member, having used the Thanks button regularly is the quickest way to get help.

I tried to change that to a different location, and drive, and it didn't work, it stayed in the C: drive...

Also have a look for copies Garmin stashes here: C:\ProgramData\Garmin\CoreService\Downloads\Map
Depending on your activity they could be nested deep down in subfolders

Leave the install path as the default, click install. After a while Windows will ask if Do you want to allow this app to make changes to your device ,click yes.
If you had answered the previous question then we could see what program you have installed if any.
GE does not install any program, just the files to use that specific map set (North America) with Mapsource or BaseCamp including MapInstallLast edited by Garmin_Nuvi; 13th January 2022 at 07:58 AM.
