You are right. I apologize for my inaccuracy.
Without LDR.bin the Device won't boot
Maybe there is a way to "copy" that file manually directly from the Device, I don't really know how but I'm quite sure it's possible

Hello,
I'm working on Zumo XT which in my opinion has corrupted map file, it resets during the initial setup at the point were map theme needs to be selected. I'm unable to connect device to pc in usual way so i'm using a service menu. I already tried update from SD (can share the .update if someone needs), software rollback etc. without any effect. my only option is USB Ethernet connection to get inside and format drive/remove corrupted content. however once i chose this option i can hear the usb connection sound but i cant see zumo as a flash drive. what i'm missing here? any advice would be highly appreciated

you are probably referring to the menu which hides under the speedometer, i'm using one which is activated by power+left corner button, (unit does not boot up to the main menu) and option i want to use to get it connected to pc is "USB Ethernet boot only", other previously mentioned option i have already tried with no positive progress.
in my long term relations with garmins origin of usb cable is not that important as long as it is a quality product

Isn't your Zumo XT under warranty yet ?
Mine is a year and a half old and the warranty in EU is two years.

Ok, try another USB cable and then another PC. It's fast. If don't work, clean with special spray, usb contacts on Zumo and if don't work again i think that it's hardware problem (if you have already do downgrade firmware before)
