I use old Nuvi 350. Original retail was $899. I paid around $250 (Black Friday special at Circuit City - RIP) and still enjoy using this "obsolete" tech toy. Just like the other old Garmins, it has limited room for internal maps, and only 2GB max limit for a map on SD.
The internal map is a few years old and about 0.8GB - there is no internal room for a larger map. When I put new map on 2GB SD I still get messages on the screen about maps being "obsolete." So, I would like to replace the small internal map with a newer one.
Would someone post just a small map of the three States: WI, IL, and IN? Or, should I put inside something small and random, like Guam and load the bigger new map on SD?
TIA!

@grgrgr
I also use a nuvi350. The newest map that you can use is 2022.25 because Garmin changed the font starting with 2023.1 which the nuvi350 cannot read. I can make a map for you. What states do you want?Last edited by Henry34653; 9th August 2023 at 08:53 PM.

Thanks Pilou. I did back up the old map on my PC, and instead of deleting the older original, I changed the extension from bmp to 1bmp. It seemed to work in a way that the Garmin no longer recognizes the file. However, if I change the extension back to bmp, it doesn't recognize the old map anymore. It's strange but not a big deal since the maps on SD card read perfectly.

Henry, that's really interesting about the new font, and weird since some old Garmins were sold with a lifetime of map updates.
I was looking for Illinois, Wisconsin, and Indiana.
Thanks in advance!

The "lifetime" support definition by Garmin means as long as Garmin decides to support the device, typically 10 years.
I will make the map for you, PM me your email address for a link to the map.Last edited by Henry34653; 10th August 2023 at 10:40 PM.
